OKOTOKS, AB - Just one day after suffering just their second regulation loss of the season, the Okotoks Bisons took out their frustrations on the Strathmore Wheatland Kings, winning by a very lopsided 11-2 final.

BANFF, AB - Don't look now, but the Banff Academy Bears are making a run to the post-season...or at least doing their best to claw their way in. The Bears capped off their second-straight win of the weekend, dumping the High River Flyers 5-4 on Sunday. Trailing 3-1 after the first period, the Bears scored three unanswered goals in the middle stanza to take a 4-3 lead into the third period. Nick Crosby's powerplay goal would turn out to be the eventual game winner, as the Flyers scored one late in the final minute, but it wasn't enough. The Bears are now just three points back of the Colts for fourth in the Central Division, holding one more win over Mountainview.

STETTLER, AB - The Lightning had the offence on display Sunday night as the visiting Coaldale Copperheads played their third game in three nights, and it showed, as they suffered a 9-3 setback to the Bolts. Stettler made good on the powerplay, going 3-for-6, with Cody Smitten picking up a pair of goals and a pair of assists for a 4-point night. Captain Claye Spady had three points for Stettler as well.

THREE HILLS, AB - A tight battle in Three Hills, as the hometown Thashers handed the Medicine Hat Cubs a 3-2 loss on Sunday. A very disciplined showing by both teams with only six minor penalties called. Todd Callaghan opened the scoring with his first of the season. Scott Bell and Shane Wagstaff each had a goal and an assist for the Thrashers while goaltender Simon Thieleman stopped 36 pucks. The Thrashers are now just one point back of Airdrie for tops in the Central Division.

RIMBEY, AB - A five goal first period all but sealed this one, as the Blackfalds Wranglers jumped out to a 5-0 lead and never looked back as they improved to 27-1-1 on the season with a 9-3 win in Rimbey. The league's top point getters and linemates Kurtis Ross, Kyle Maas and David Jantize continued their scoring ways, combining for 9 points on the night. Former Rock forward Wyatt Fraser also notched a goal against his former mates, before dropping the mitts with his old teammate Joseph Schropfer.
