PLAYOFF FORMAT/SCHEDULE
Seeding: The team with the better finish during the regular season will receive the higher seeding.
Teams with identical records - the seeding for each Team will be determined as who:
-Had the best record against each other in the regular season. If still equal then;
-Scored the most goals against the other. If still equal then;
-Had the best goal average for the regular season ¡V add the goals for and against and divide into the goals for. If still equal then;
-Scored the first goal in the first regular season game against each other.
ROUND 1 - DIVISIONAL SEMI FINAL - BEST 3 OF 5
a. Starts Tuesday, Feb. 16 and must be completed by Tuesday, Feb. 23rd - 7 days to play a max 5 games within the Division
b. Top 4 Teams in each Division makes Playoffs
c. Teams remain in own Division
d. Based upon Regular Season Finish; Teams are seeded #1 to #4 in their Division
e. Team #1 plays Team #4...Team #2 plays Team #3
ROUND 2 - DIVISIONAL FINAL - BEST 4 OF 7
a. Starts Wednesday, Feb. 24th and must be completed by Sunday, Mar. 7th - 12 days to play a max 7 games within the Division
b. The 2 winners of Round one Divisional semi Finals compete for the Divisional Championship
c. Teams are seeded as per above criteria #1 and #2 to determine home ice advantage.
ROUND 3 - LEAGUE SEMI FINAL - BEST 3 OF 5
a. Starts Monday, Mar. 8th and must be completed by Wednesday, Mar. 17th - 10 days to play a max 5 games within the Division
b. The League Semi Finals will match the 3 Divisional Champions plus the highest seeded team beaten out in the divisional finals which becomes the Wild Card Team.
c. The Wild Card Team will NEVER meet the same team they lost to in the Divisional Finals; if this was to occur they would then be moved to meet The Team seeded #2 in these League Semi-finals.
d. Teams are seeded, as per previously stated criteria,#1 to #4 with the wildcard team always being #4
e. Team #1 plays Team #4...Team #2 plays Team #3
ROUND 4 - LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP - BEST 3 OF 5
a. Starts Thursday, Mar. 18th and must be completed by Saturday, Mar. 27th - 10 days to play a max 5 games within the Division
b. The League Championship final will match the two semi final winners
c. The teams will be seeded #1 and #2 as per all previous criteria to determine home ice advantage
